Exercise Basics

Before you start a fitness program, you should check with your physician and identify any areas of concern. The SWC staff can assist you with developing a program specifically for your individual needs and can help you gradually work into an exercise program, maximizing the results you desire.

Fitness Services include:

Personal Training
  • Whether you need a personal trainer on a weekly basis, or someone to help you get started, the SWC has a certified staff available to assist you at YOUR convenience.
  • Personal training is done one-on-one with certified trainers and is designed to fit YOUR schedule.
  • Cost of a personal trainer is $25 per hour or $20 per half hour.

FitCalc Assessment
  • Designed to identify your current fitness level, the FitCalc Assessment will measure your muscular fitness, aerobic capacity, and flexibility. This test will give you a baseline to measure against and track your progress as you begin your fitness program.
  • The test will be provided in a computerized format and will be interpreted by a fitness professional.
  • Cost of this test is only $10!

Exercise Jump Start
  • A combination of personal training and the FitCalc Assessment.
  • This package includes the FitCalc Assessment and SIX 30-minute personal training sessions.
  • Reduced rate of this package is $115.

Complete Jump Start
  • The best value for your money!
  • Includes the FitCalc Assessment, SIX 30-minute personal training sessions, and TWO 30-minute sessions with a registered dietitian
  • Reduced rate is $170 (Student rate is $150).

NEW PROGRAM!
  • Do you know your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR)? This new, state-of-the-art, non-invasive test measures the number of calories you must consume to maintain your current weight.
  • The test takes approximately 30 minutes and includes a consultation with a fitness professional.
  • Simply take the test, identify the number of calories needed to maintain your current weight, then decrease the number of calories needed, incorporate an exercise program, and the weight should begin to disappear!
