Peer Education

Share the WEALTH (Wellness Educators Advocating Lifestyles Toward Health) is a peer health education program to address the health issues and concerns facing OSU students. The program is comprised of trained peer educators who promote positive health behaviors, increase awareness of campus and community resources, encourage the use of critical thinking during decision making processes, and create a support network for students.

Share the WEALTH peer educators develop and facilitate health education and awareness presentations and programs. The topics addressed include Alcohol Education, Nutrition, Sexual Health, Sleep, and Stress Management.

Wellness State is another component of the peer health education program specifically designed for our freshman students. Wellness State integrates health education with technology in the classroom setting. Presentations are "student friendly" and include the same topics as the Share the WEALTH program, with the addition of Safety, Body Image, and Finance. "Graduates" of the Share the WEALTH program serve as facilitators for these programs.
