Graduate Assistantships
The Seretean Wellness Center at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, is seeking graduate assistants.
Assistantships are available to students with backgrounds in exercise science, health/wellness, health promotion,
physical education, marketing/advertising, nutrition, computer science, or student personnel. The Center, a 30,000
square foot facility, offers adult fitness, cardiac rehabilitation, physical therapy, and other health promotion
programs.
Graduate Assistants will gain experience and have responsibilities in the following areas: fitness testing,
exercise prescription, exercise program orientation, exercise supervision, development and implementation of
special programs, organization and distribution of health education materials, facilities operations, health
promotion, wellness counseling, and marketing. Strong personal interaction skills and a strong personal interest in
health and fitness preferred. Graduate Assistants should exhibit characteristics of good health and serve as an
appropriate role model. They should possess good communication skills and a high level of enthusiasm. Computer
knowledge is helpful. CPR certification is required and offered during the appointment.

A typical appointment is for 10 months: August 15-June 15 (some summer appointments are available). Applications
should be submitted by May 15. Stipend is $850/month for master’s degree level and $1,000/month for doctoral
